I have painted the Left Bank many times as I am fascinated by the shapes of the buildings climbing up the hillside. I remember the first time I painted it when I was living in Melville and just beginning to draw again. At that time it was a derelict old wreck but lovely to paint. I always thought what a wonderful location for a restaurant and it is.
