This is a view of Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle, Western Australia. Fremantle is the port city of Perth at the mouth of the Swan river estuary. A series of harbours have been constructed and this one was used by the Americas Cup fleet when Australia was defending the Cup. It is a commercial fishing harbour with traffic passing to and from fishing grounds during the day. It is a big harbour and I wanted to create an impression of its size while maintaining contact with all the things to do with boats immediately in front of me. Especially the clear water and the sandy floor of the seabed.
